About Us
Chris Coleman opened Yoga Hus in Scandia, MN in February 2008. Her classes are based in Ashtanga tradition, this yoga is an athletic, powerful practice that appeals to everyone from the working professional to the stay-at-home mom. It combines a series of flowing postures with emphasis on rhythmic breathing to develop muscular energy, core strength, balance and to attain mind-body awareness. Chris was first turned on to yoga in 2002 during her first pregnancy while living in Seattle and practiced gentle pregnancy yoga. Five years ago Chris and her family moved back to Scandia where she was raised (née Obst). Once bitten by the Corepower Yoga bug at the Minneapolis studio, she discovered that the power of yoga went well beyond the physical but also connected her mind and body, and completed the Corepower teacher training program. Chris wants to share her love for yoga with everyone she meets and enjoys teaching yoga to all ages. Chris also works as a guide in France leading adult tour groups for Seattle-based tour operator Rick Steves.

Guest Instructors at Yoga Hus Scandia
Daisy Tasch Daisy fell in love with yoga after her very first class. With an active athletic background, the idea of relaxing and stretching was very appealing. Six months after her first class, Daisy was enrolled in teacher training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis and received her 230 hour certification. Through her training at the Yoga Center and many yoga trainings from East coast to West, she learned to open her heart through the postures and breath work, finding gratitude in each new experience. Daisy found that, just as in life, the yoga journey can be difficult on some days and peaceful and wonderful on others. Like her life, her yoga practice is changing and growing. Daisy just finished a 500 hour Teacher Training in Duluth, Minnesota and loves learning in even more detail the beauty of yoga philosophy, anatomy and history.
Daisy loves teaching both beginners and advanced students and is sensitive to each student’s expectations and limitations. She brings the clarity of alignment, the dynamic power of the breath and a warm open-hearted quality to her teaching. Daisy believes a yoga class should be comforting and fun and encourages “just being where we are today with acceptance and non-judgment”.
